Raj Vazirani founded Vazirani Asset Management LLC in 2015 to opportunistically invest in the event-driven, equity universe.

Raj launched Vazirani Asset Management in October 2015, after identifying a significant opportunity to bring his unique skill set directly to investors. Previously, Raj was the Portfolio Manager of Quad Capital’s Event Driven Group and a Limited Partner of Quad Capital Management for more than 10 years. He has over 20 years of experience investing in the Event Driven, Special Situations, and Risk Arbitrage space.
Raj began his career as a device physicist at Intel Corporation. He shifted his focus to Wall Street in 1998 as a Relative Value Trader at Lehman Brothers. Following that, he became Head Trader in Risk Arbitrage and Special Situations at Cantor Fitzgerald, and a Director at Deutsche Bank, managing their Special Situations Proprietary Trading Desk.
He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a B.Sc. degree in Materials Science and Engineering and a minor in Literature. He is actively involved in Pratham, a charity focused on promoting literacy for underprivileged children in India. He lives in New York City with his wife and three children.

MICHAEL TENEBRUSO SENIOR ADVISOR

Michael joined Vazirani Asset Management in 2020 as a Senior Advisor. He joins VAM after spending 20 years at Alpine Associates Management, a $2.2 billion merger and arbitrage fund. At Alpine, he was Co-Chief Investment Officer and specialized in merger arbitrage and event-driven strategies. In this role he was also a member of the risk committee and served on Alpine’s Board of Directors. Prior to Alpine, Michael was a financial analyst at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Michael earned a B.A. degree in Finance from the College of New Jersey, where he played four years of varsity baseball and was voted team captain by his peers for his senior year.

Andrew Lefberg Portfolio Manager

Andrew is a portfolio manager for the Investment Manager. Prior to this, he was a portfolio manager at Odeon Capital. Prior to working at Odeon Capital, Andrew was a Portfolio Manager at Pine River Capital. Previously, he was Managing Director at Pali Capital and a research analyst at Goldman Sachs. Andrew graduated from Arizona State University, with a B.S. degree in Finance.

TODD MUNN CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Todd joined Vazirani Asset Management in June 2023 as Head of Business Development.  Previously, Todd served as a portfolio manager for the Arbitrage Fund since January 2005 and for the Arbitrage Event-Driven Fund since October 2010.  Prior to being promoted to portfolio manager, Todd worked as a senior analyst and trader on the merger arbitrage and equity special situations teams at Water Island Capital, LLC.  Todd has worked in the securities industry since 1993.  Prior to his 20 years at Water Island Capital, Todd was a senior arbitrage trader Lipper & Company and was in a two-year management training program at Bear Stearns & Company.  Todd received an MBA from Fordham Graduate School of Business and a BA from Gettysburg College.  He lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children.
